Brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Midwest who graduated this year held a baccalaureate service on June 18, 2022.

They were joined by their fellow members in the Christian Brotherhood International (CBI), which is the organization of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members who are students. The Northern Midwest District supervises local congregations in several states including Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, and Nebraska.

Brother Erman Bendicio, the district supervising minister, officiated at the special gathering held in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Bloomingdale, Illinois during which he congratulated the brethren, especially the graduates, for their achievement.

In his homily, he cited the Bible as he gave them essential advises in ensuring for themselves a bright future, reminding them to give God first place in their lives by prioritizing their Church membership. He emphasized to them that doing so is far more important than other endeavors as it would lead them to the attainment of life eternal in the Holy City.

On reflection, Danella Agoncillo, one of the new graduates and a choir member from the Park Ridge, Illinois Congregation enthused, “I trusted everything to God. Because if we just go by ourselves and go without prayer, it would be so hard to get through anything. And so, I’m thankful that I’m a member of the Church because we have the opportunity to pray to God.”

“It is only proper that we return all the glory and praises to our Lord God for all the accomplishments that He bless us with. After all, the knowledge and wisdom that we have comes from God,” Brother Christian Ira Ross, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, said on behalf of the attendees. — With reports from INC News Section
