Commemorating the 135th birth anniversary of God’s Messenger in these last days, Brother Felix Y. Manalo, the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Samar conducted two consecutive baptisms on May 10, 2021.
With great anticipation of that most awaited day, the first batch of candidates for baptism gathered at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Catarman. The baptism of the last batch on that day followed at the Palapag Local Congregation’s house of worship.
Brother Isaias Antinew, district supervising minister, officiated at both occasions. During the study of God’s words, he emphasized to the baptismal candidates the importance of holding fast their membership despite the hardships they may encounter to be certain of receiving eternal life in the Holy City.
Emma Mergildo, one of the newly baptized member, was not hindered by the long distance she traveled just to reach the baptismal venue. “This day is very special to me. I will cherish this moment for the rest of my life. The blessing of becoming a true member of the Church is what I also want to share with my loved ones so that we can altogether receive the promised salvation,” she said.
“The brethren here in the district are always united with the Church Administration and the entirety of the Church in commemorating the birth anniversary of Brother Felix Manalo, whom God sent to teach us the proper way of serving Him,” said Brother Antinew. “Praise be to God for His mercy, calling more people into the true Church. We promise to continue to intensify the work of propagation in the district.” — With reports from INC News Section
