To be of assistance to the Deaf, the brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Nueva Vizcaya happily volunteered to equip themselves with knowledge about Sign Language through an online seminar held on April 24, 2021.

Spearheaded by the officers of the Christian Society for the Deaf, the brethren learned how to express in Sign Language religious terms and common phrases used in everyday life. They said that they will use what they learned in fulfilling their Church duties, especially in promoting the love of brotherhood by improving camaraderie with the Deaf.

Adrian Mendoza, an attendee from the Local Congregation of Bugnay, said, “I learned a lot. This will truly help me in inviting our fellowmen and be of help to our brethren who are part of the community. I hope to also be instrumental in encouraging other brethren to learn about Sign Language.” — With reports from INC News Section
