Showing love and concern for their fellowmen on the occasion of the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s (Church Of Christ’s) 107th anniversary, members from the Ecclesiastical District of Nueva Vizcaya donated blood at the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital (NVPH) in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines on July 27, 2021.
“This continuing pandemic halted our blood donation programs as we have to comply to the health and safety protocols. But blood donation is still a must, even in this time, especially for those patients who are in dire need of it,” said Dr. Arlene Jara of NVPH. “Good thing now the government has recently allowed activities like this blood donation as long as we strictly observe the standard protocols.”
Brother Fermin Paquiao, district supervising minister, oversaw the event that was spearheaded by the Christian Family Organizations officers.
Among the donors, Lizavel Tagaca, said, “The moment we heard that we will be having this blood donation, we strove to make ourselves physically fit, hoping to be of help of our fellowmen.” Jessica Domingo said, “This is our way of uniting with the Church Administration. This is also our way of celebrating the Church’s 107th anniversary.”
The NVPH staff and doctors expressed their thanks to the brethren who participated and to the entirety of the Church as well. — With reports from INC News Section
