In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Ecclesiastical District of Romblon, members of one of its local congregations, Odiongan, actively took part in the evangelical mission held at their house of worship on September 12, 2021.

They invited and brought with them their loved ones and friends to listen to the proclamation of God’s words in the Bible concerning the true way of salvation.

Prior to the Bible study, the guests were shown a documentary about the achievements, through God’s help, of the Church Of Christ in various parts of the world despite the pandemic.

District supervising minister, Brother Dante Masongsong, preached the words of God. In the lesson, he shared with the guests the biblical truth about the one true God, the Father. He emphasized that His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, proclaimed this truth and that fully believing it is necessary to attain salvation on Judgment Day.

A guest, Gecelle Fainsan, a bank manager, enthused, “It was my first time to attend [an evangelical mission] in the house of worship and it was impressive. The explanation [during the study of God’s words] was very clear and was being supported by the verses.”

Another guest, Engr. Nikko Reymon Manito, said, “It was very informative. I’ve learned so many things about the Church that are very eye-opening.”

The collaborative efforts of the brethren did not go unrewarded as many of their guests expressed their willingness to further examine the words of God by registering as Bible students.

The Romblon Ecclesiastical District consists of 38 local congregations, 14 extensions, and one group worship service (GWS) with its district office situated at the compound of the Odiongan Congregation in the Tablas Island, one of the three major islands of the province.

During the said gathering, Romblon was under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ). — With reports from INC News Section
