Aiming to further strengthen the husband-wife relationship of couples in Sweden, the Buklod organization from the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe spearheaded an online seminar on the “Importance of Setting Goals as Couples.” The activity was held on January 15, 2022.

Buklod members from the local congregations of Goteborg and Hyltebruk, Sweden, and even the couples from Stockholm, Boras, Jonkoping, joined in the activity.

Through a video presentation, Buklod officers shared with fellow couples the importance of setting goals as well as the benefits of doing so. Afterwards, the attendees were given a chance to share some of their experiences that showed how goal setting made an impact in their lives as couples, especially in the face of various challenges.

Albert Brillantes, the Buklod congregation president in Goteborg said, “Although my wife and I find time for each other, the activity showed us that we can do more.” He added that they are all the more inspired and motivated to set goals as a couple “so we can to fulfill our plans in the future and be each other’s support.”

Fei, his wife, the Buklod secretary, remarked, “I learned that goal-setting is crucial as a way to strengthen husband-wife relationship. Indeed, couples function better when they work together.”

Before the activity ended, Brother Philip Oliver Naguit, minister of the gospel, gave the brethren biblical advice on how couples should work to keep their marriage strong. — With reports from INC News Section
