Through a cleanup activity, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Oregon on November 12, 2022 united with the purpose of helping their community.

They joined hands cleaning up the stretch of SE 82nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon, from the Les Schwab parking lot in 7304 up to where it intersects Johnson Creek Boulevard. They made sure to properly dispose of the collected rubbish.

The said environmental protection activity was carried out in coordination with SOLVE Oregon, a non-profit organization which “restores and preserves Oregon’s environment by mobilizing the power of volunteers and partners with the generosity of donors.”

“We really want to thank the Church Of Christ for their generosity. It was an amazing turnout,” said Jacob Loeb, SOLVE Portland organizer. “We appreciate everyone who came out, the effort they put into, the good nature they had, and the impact they made for the people here in 82nd Avenue.”

Brother Isaiah Gallo, a ministerial worker assigned in local congregation, said, “The brethren were overjoyed to be part of this activity because they were able to show that they want to help out and to be united with other brethren in helping those who are in need.” — With reports from INC News Section
