Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Oriental Mindoro Ecclesiastical District conducted on July 10, 2022 a blood donation activity for the benefit of the blood bank of the Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital (OMPH).
“The [bags of] blood that were collected will be processed here in OMPH Blood Bank. These will also be distributed to other medical facilities throughout the province,” said Dr. Jonathan Leviste, OMPH Blood Bank counselor. “We thank the Church Of Christ, through the leadership of Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, because you are one of those who always support us.”
Brethren from various congregations all over the district gathered at the Kalap covered court in Brgy. Guinobatan, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro to volunteer as donors. As health workers from OMPH carried out health screening and blood collection, designated Church officers maintained peace and order in the conduct of the humanitarian activity.
“I was eager to volunteer because I know that through it, I can be of help to others,” first time-donor, Perla Mambiray, from the Local Congregation of Lazareto, said.
“The blood donation activities that we conduct inside the Church Of Christ is important because through such efforts we can help many people, most especially those who are in need of blood transfusion and other blood service,” said Brother Phil Campos, assistant district supervising minister. — With reports from INC News Section
