The Ecclesiastical District of Aklan organized an outreach-evangelical mission for the residents of Barangay Songcolan in Batan, Aklan, Philippines. Held on June 14, 2022, the humanitarian activity touched the hearts of the residents of this coastal village.

“We lack food and money is hard to earn. Fishing here is seasonal. During the monsoon season, we usually wouldn’t be able to catch fish for months,” said Nicolas Sucgang, resident.

To bring aid to the residents of Songcolan, like Nicolas, a delegation of ministers, ministerial workers, and Church officers, led by Brother Eduardo L. Donato, district supervising minister, traveled for about two hours from the district office in Roxas City, the capital of the province.

After listening to the Bible-based preaching of Brother Donato about the indispensability of God’s true messengers, Songcolan locals were able to avail of free health services, as well as medicines. They also received relief packages containing several kilograms of rice, instant noodles, canned goods, and bottles of water.

“Praises be to God because you’ve reached our place, especially now that we barely have essential needs,” Ceidy Arcega, one of the beneficiaries, enthused. — With reports from INC News Section
