Pampanga East Binhi members attend documentary, filmmaking seminar

On February 12, 2022, the Binhi officers and members from various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga East attended a webinar on the “Fundamentals of Documentary and Filmmaking.” The Christian Family Organizations (CFO)-sponsored activity was led by Ian Carlos Simbulan, a media practitioner.
“Aspiring filmmakers and documentarists should learn the correct ways and procedures to create an outstanding message for the general public to appreciate,” Ian said. In the webinar, he explained in detail the elements and process of how to produce feature films, as well as documentaries.
“We are thankful that the Church Administration allowed such activity that gave us useful information. We promise to use this knowledge in making projects that will give inspiration to the brethren,” said Ian Sumera, a Binhi officer from the Local Congregation of Cawayan.
Through the activity, the district endeavored to “increase our knowledge and hone our skills in filmmaking” said Joanna Bonito from the Local Congregation of San Pablo Propio, one of the attendees.
The Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga East, like other ecclesiastical districts of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ), is in for another year of the INCinema project of the CFO. What the brethren learned in the seminar, they can apply in their district’s film project this year. — With reports from INC News Section
