The Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) in the Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga North spearheaded an evangelical mission on October 7, 2022. The propagational activity was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Brgy. Village.

CSD is the organization in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) that promotes, among others, knowledge in the use of Sign Language (SL) among the brethren to be able to communicate well with the members of the Deaf community.

Among the guests who attended the propagational activity officiated by Brother Bright Ballesteros, the district supervising minister, were members of the Deaf community. The Bible-based lesson on how people will receive God’s gift of salvation come Judgment Day was interpreted in sign language by Brother Florence Simodlan.

Rizza Estioco, a Church officer from the Local Congregation of Mabalacat, invited her deaf student to the evangelical mission. “When I told my student that we will conduct an evangelical mission with sign language interpretation, she approached me to tell me how happy she is to come and listen to the teachings upheld in the Church.”

Aaron John Cabuso, a guest and also a member of the Deaf community, said through sign language, “I noticed that the preaching is based on the Bible. I also want to be saved. I wish to become a Church member to have the hope of receiving salvation on Judgment Day.” — With reports from INC News Section
