From the second to the third week of April 2023, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from local congregations, extension, and group worship service (GWS) in Papua New Guinea conducted evangelical missions at their respective places of worship.

The series of propagational activities kicked off on April 7, when Brothers Edmark Velasco and Sanny Magdirilla, ministers of the gospel, officiated consecutive evangelical missions at the place of worship of the Local Congregation of Lae City. The next day, Brother Joselito Omagap, also a minister of the gospel, led the brethren from the West Taraka Extension in conducting the same activity.

Two evangelical missions simultaneously transpired on the third day, April 9. One was officiated by Brother Mark Jayson Montes, resident minister, at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Port Moresby, while the other was held at the place of worship of the Local Congregation of Wewak, with Brothers Romie Cartalaba and Alvin Gale Santos officiating.

On April 10, Brothers Cartalaba and Darhley Pataweg combined efforts in leading the Church members from the Mount Hagen GWS in holding an evangelical mission at their place of worship. Two days later, on April 12, Brother Cartalaba officiated for the third time, in Port Moresby again.

In teaching God’s words, the officiating ministers emphasized the importance of salvation on Judgment Day and how it can be attained, which is by joining the true Church Of Christ.

“God’s master plan for the salvation of mankind is clearly taught in the Bible. Indeed, God desires for all people to know the truth on how they can benefit from His promised salvation,” said Brother Cartalaba. “That is why the Church Of Christ will keep spreading the Good News of salvation to all people,” he added.

Edna Iwaneke, a guest from Port Moresby decided to undergo Bible studies on doctrines right after attending the evangelical mission. “I’ve understood that there is only one true God. And the true religion is only the Church Of Christ,” she added.

The aforementioned three local congregations, one extension, and one GWS in Papua New Guinea are under the jurisdiction of the Ecclesiastical District of Australia West, with Brother Romeo Beltran as the district supervising minister. — With reports from Jonee Quiñola of INC News Section
