Members of the KADIWA organization from various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia gained bright ideas about entrepreneurship from the “KADIWA Podcast” they listened to together on March 6, 2022.

“Entrepreneurship is useful like for us OFWs [Oversees Filipino Workers]. This could help us start a new business as it gives us a background in doing it. I would like to start a food preservation business,” said Jennelyn Hidalgo, a KADIWA member.

In the podcast listening session organized by the KADIWA district leadership, the attendees listened to a lecture by Cherry Mae Guevarra-Simbulan, a Manila-based clothes retail entrepreneur and a Church officer. They learned from her personal experience how entrepreneurship can be a good source of income, even during the pandemic. More importantly, they learned from her that managing business without neglecting Church duties is doable.

“I heard many ideas on many businesses that can be done. What inspires me the most is what the speaker said [that] she always kept in her mind the teachings of our Lord God even while she is doing her business,” said Jerrelin Caballa, a KADIWA officer. — With reports from INC News Section
