A podcast focused on mental health concerns benefited KADIWA members from various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia. From the confines of their homes, the said brethren simultaneously tuned in to the 30-minute podcast and listened to Christine Joy Angulo, a KADIWA officer, the guest speaker, on September 25, 2022.

She discussed how one could deal and overcome mental health issues through the help of family, and most importantly, faith in God. She said, “It’s important for us, youth members in the Church, to pay close attention to our mental health so that we will not be hindered in serving our Lord God.”

Towards the end of the podcast, Brother Earl-Bert Parco, a ministerial worker, delivered a Bible-based lecture on the importance of entrusting everything to God in order for them to remain zealous in their faith.

One of the attendees, Marinel Brusola, was thankful for the podcast as she was reminded that, “Even if we’re experiencing hard times or we’re in a rough situation, we still have to continue serving God. We just have to pray, because with prayers we can get through anything. It will help us become a faithful member in the Church Of Christ.”

According to Brother Parco, the activity was launched to “extend a helping hand so that even the youth will not be overcome by the things happening around us and be able to continue in our active services to God.” — With reports from INC News Section
