Aimed at emphasizing the essence of brotherhood in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), members from the Local Congregation of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, Ecclesiastical District of Australia West, invited the newly baptized members, together with candidates for baptism and doctrinal instructees, to attend the “Welcome, My Brethren” activity on April 2, 2023.

The open grounds beside the house of worship compound served as the venue. The Church officers and select brethren prepared and presented musical numbers to the delight of all attendees. Several fun games were also enjoyed by those who graced the event.

With much enthusiasm, the attendees, “some of whom even brought along family members, participated in all parts of the program. Before they went home, they received care packages along with pre-loved clothing and toys for the young,” said Brother Mark Jayson Montes, resident minister. “It’s so delightful to see the brethren, even those who are still in the process of entering the Church, enjoy participating in Church activities,” he added.

On behalf of the congregation, Brother Montes said that they were “so thankful to the Church Administration as our spiritual welfare has been cared for through activities like this.”

Currently, the Ecclesiastical District of Australia West supervises brethren from five countries in Southeast Asia and Oceania, namely, Australia, East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, and Solomon Islands, making up 36 local congregations, six extensions, and 20 group worship services. — With reports from INC News Section
