Brethren from the Local Congregation of Port Moresby, Ecclesiastical District of Australia West, spent quality time with each other and also took time to share their faith during an island getaway on June 13, 2022.

The Christian Family Organizations (CFO) leadership spearheaded the activity under the supervision of Brother Regino Manangan Jr., their resident minister. The brethren assembled at their house of worship and there received instructions about the day’s activity. As a group, they then traveled to the city’s port before boarding a ferry that took them to Loloata Island Resort. The popular tourist spot is about 16 kilometers south of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, and just two kilometers off the coast.

When the brethren arrived on the Island, they took a tour to appreciate the beauty of nature. Afterwards, CFO officers facilitated fun games like beach volleyball and board games.

Later that day, the brethren “handed out Pasugo magazines to the locals residing on the Island to share our faith. This island tour provided us with quality time with family and friends and strengthened our faith in serving the Lord God,” according to Melanie Ondra, a deaconess.

“The brethren extended their utmost gratitude to the Church Administration for a wonderful and beneficial activity,” Brother Manangan remarked after the activity. — With reports from INC News Section
