Having found and followed the truth that leads to salvation, prospective members in the Ecclesiastical District of Ottawa reached the day of their baptism and finally became full-fledged Church Of Christ members on December 19, 2021.

A few hours before the appointed time for their baptism, the would-be members, together with the brethren who walked them through their conversion, gathered at the Hotel Quartier in Boulevard Laurier, Quebec, Canada to receive God’s teachings before their baptism. Brethren from various local congregations in the district witnessed the sacred gathering through videoconferencing.

From the Bible, Brother Jose Razon II, district supervising minister, exhorted the candidates for baptism to keep on living a righteous way of life amidst a wicked world and to remain active in their Church membership by participating in all Church activities.

Jennifer Roque, one of the newly baptized members, recalled that she moved to Canada in search for greener pasture. She had no inkling that it is where she will find a more precious treasure in life—membership in the Church Of Christ. “Back in the Philippines, I was already introduced into the Church Of Christ but I did not prioritize it. When I arrived here [in Canada], I got the chance to attend in Bible studies. That was the time I realized the great importance of understanding the truth written in the Bible and joining the Church,” she said.

Another newly baptized brethren, Alain Begnoche, expressed, “My life has been blessed. Everything in my life has been going very well since I decided to join the Church.” — With reports from INC News Section
