Through the holy baptism held on November 29, 2021, a number of prospective members in the Ecclesiastical District of Southern Ontario have formally received full membership in the Church Of Christ, with all its rights and privileges.
Held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Mississauga West, the baptismal service was officiated by Brother Raul Adalla, district supervising minister. The sacred gathering was also witnessed by the brethren all over the district through videoconferencing from the confines of their homes.
In the homily, Brother Adalla reminded the candidates for baptism the great importance of membership in the true Church Of Christ to the proper worship of God and to attaining salvation on the Day of Judgment. Thus, he exhorted them to actively participate in all the activities in the Church, including sharing their faith to be able to hold on to these rights and privileges they were about to receive.
The newly baptized brethren expressed their gratefulness to God for calling them into the true Church and for giving them the right to render true services unto Him. One of them was Sebastian Cardenas, “I experienced many disappointments [in my life] from other Churches before. Finally, through the Bible, I learned the right way towards my salvation. I feel I am at peace after my baptism.” He is now enlisted in the London Congregation.
The addition of new Church members in their district further inspired the brethren from Southern Ontario to devote themselves to the intensive work of propagation so that many more people may come to the knowledge of the truth and eventually receive the hope of salvation. — With reports from INC News Section and Nigil Erran Anor
