“I felt happy because I learned additional knowledge about God’s teachings,” said Ruesa Mercado, one of the guests of Sister Maridel Galicia, a choir member.

Together with Ruesa, the other guests of Sister Maridel were gathered in a unit in Punta Tenement Building in Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila. It was among the sites of the evangelical mission conducted by the Local Congregation of Punta, Ecclesiastical District of Manila on June 15, 2021.

In all the sites, the guests witnessed a video presentation about the inspiring convert stories of some of the newly baptized brethren. Afterwards, a short introduction about the Church Of Christ was delivered by the designated minister or ministerial worker.

Another guest, Loren Bernardo, who also encouraged her household to listen to the words of God, expressed: “It was a great opportunity to learn more about the Church and hear inspiring stories. I also told everything I’ve learned to my children.”

Although there are trials, especially with the ongoing pandemic, Sister Maridel never neglects to fulfill her duties to share her faith. “It is a commandment of God. So, whatever happens, I invite people and help in the intensified work of propagation launched by the Church Administration,” she said.

Belonging to the first ever congregation of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, the brethren from Punta resolved to all the more remain united in all the Church’s holy endeavors. “The Church Administration can always count on us in uniting with their aim and purpose. We will not stop from helping them in proclaiming God’s words so that many people will join the Church to serve Him and receive His promised salvation,” said Brother Renato Santiago, resident minister.

As Metro Manila is placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ), health protocols in place were duly followed by the attendees from all sites to keep everyone safe from Covid-19. — With reports from INC News Section
