Punta Extension, under the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Samar, was blessed recently with its own house of worship. The extension’s members held the inaugural worship service in the new barangay chapel on July 24, 2021, three days before the 107th anniversary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).
District supervising minister, Brother Isaias D. Antinew, officiated at the sacred occasion. Preaching a lesson based on the Bible, he exhorted the brethren to give utmost importance to the house of worship for its great benefits for their spiritual welfare.
Reflecting on the lesson, the resident ministerial worker, Brother Jaime Bonifacio, said, “This house of worship is very important for the brethren. Not only do we conduct worship of God here, we also go here to hold our personal devotional prayers, especially in times of trials.”
Jose Maghanoy, deacon, said with firm resolve: “It’s so overwhelming that we now have a beautiful house of worship. We will all the more devote in fulfilling our Church duties, especially in spreading God’s words. We will take good care of this house of worship.”
“The building of houses of worship is proof of our ever-increasing Church membership, which is the result of the brethren’s continuous unity with the intensive propagation of the true faith,” said Brother Antinew. “The district will continue to be one with the Church Administration, in obeying and submitting to the will of the Almighty God, so that all of us here to all the more be prepared for the nearing promised salvation. From the ministers, ministerial workers, and our respective families, we greet our brethren around the world a happy 107th anniversary.”
