Brethren from various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City flocked to the Philippine Sports Stadium in Ciudad de Victoria, Bocaue, Bulacan, Philippines on June 19, 2022 for a grand “Welcome, Kapatid Ko” (Welcome, My Brethren) activity. “We commemorate the 16th anniversary of our district with this event,” said Brother Virgilio del Rosario Sr., district supervising minister. “Through God’s help, the brethren in our district remain active in their service to Him.”

The brethren, including the newly-baptized, prospective members, and their guests, were treated to a celebration program with musical performances and fun games prepared by the district’s Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers. There was also a choral competition of doctrinal instructees and candidates for baptism representing various areas of the district.

“We performed an INC original music with a message about our current drive in the Church for the work of propagation and the zeal of Church Of Christ members in fulfilling their duties” said Ara Gene Manga, one of the performers from the Local Congregation of Capitol.

“I noticed that many participated in this event and the unity among Church members was evident. Despite the inclement weather, the program continued and I felt how the brethren firmly believe that it will be successful. I’m glad to have attended this activity,” Alvin Diezmo, a prospective member, remarked.

At the end of the program, Brother Del Rosario gave a short biblical lecture on how the Lord God wants all people to be saved by coming to the knowledge of the truth, God’s words written in the Bible. “We give many thanks to our Lord God and to the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo Manalo, and also to our CFO Coordinator, Brother Angelo Eraño Manalo, for this ‘Welcome, My Brethren’ and for God’s guidance to our district. The brethren are inspired and they bonded with one another, together with the new members, as well as the doctrinal instructees and candidates for baptism,” he said.

The Iglesia Ni Cristo’s Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City, which was established on June 15, 2006, now oversees 29 local congregations, 13 extensions, and 2 group worship services (GWS) in the largest city of the country. — With reports from INC News Section
