To strengthen married brethren, the Local Congregation of Rosario, Ecclesiastical District of Lingayen, Pangasinan, in the Philippines, hosted a Buklod Night and also united in the district-wide special gathering on December 23 and 24, 2022, respectively. Both activities were held in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Buklod, the organization for married brethren in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

The Buklod Night, a formal event, was held at Star Monica Hotel, Resort and Restaurant, in Brgy. Quibaol, Lingayen, Pangasinan. It offered the married couples a chance to socialize with one another in an evening filled with music and fun games. The following day, they convened at their house of worship for the Buklod special gathering. Connected via videoconferencing technology to the host site, the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Dagupan City, they were able to listen to God’s words preached by Brother Roselito Carlos, district supervising minister.

“We are thankful to our Lord God because in special gatherings, such as this, we feel His love and the concern of the Executive Minister. We are also thankful for the spiritual strength we received that we will use to overcome problems in life,” Joselito Santillan, Buklod officer from Dagupan City Congregation, enthused.

Expressing the collective sentiment of the Buklod members from Rosario Congregation, Brother Mike Johnber Quitiquit, resident minister, said, “We thank our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, and the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) Coordinator, Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo for these activities that help the married couples to strengthen their relationship and to lead their families in holiness and active services to God.” — With reports from INC News Section
