Having been organized as a new local congregation, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in Royal Oak conducted their inaugural worship service at a rented venue along 69th Street, NW Calgary on April 1, 2023.
The pioneering brethren of this newly established local congregation were formerly part of the Local Congregation of Capitol Hill, which is a 30-minute drive away from the brethren’s residences. Both congregations are under the jurisdiction of the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary, Canada.
“I firmly believe that this is the will of the Almighty God,” enthused Samuel Rulloda, head deacon. “I thank Him so much, and the Church Administration.”
Brother Voltaire Tamisin, district supervising minister, led that holy occasion. He emphasized in his Bible-based homily the harmonious relationship among Christian parents and children, so that their respective families be proven worthy of receiving God’s blessings.
“The place of worship is now nearer to where we live, so it’s much easier for us, Church officers, to look after the brethren entrusted to our care,” said Richard Deauna, head deacon.
“As God’s co-worker, I will continue leading the brethren in the proper way of serving Him,” said Brother Roy Ibasco, resident ministerial worker. On behalf of the brethren, he added, “We will be instrumental in propagating His words.” ─ With reports from INC News Section
