On October 10, 2021, KADIWA and Binhi members in the Ecclesiastical District of San Carlos City, Pangasinan commemorated their respective organization’s anniversary by attending a district-wide special gathering.

The young members gathered at their respective house of worship for the occasion. Through videoconferencing technology, they were able to listen to the homily of Brother Eduardo Olipas, district supervising minister, who led the sacred occasion from the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Canan, which served as the host site.

Brother Olipas taught the attendees through a Bible-based lesson the importance of choosing the right friends according to the standards set by God. He reminded them that they should hold on to the words of the Lord God, above all, whatever they are going through in life.

“I learned from the special gathering how to further strengthen my faith and to choose the right friend,” said Yumi Arcullo, local congregation Binhi president of Canan.

KADIWA and Binhi are two of the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) inside the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). Both of these organizations hold various activities year-round to help the youth in the Church not only become better individuals but, most of all, spiritually mature Christians.

“We thank our Lord God because he allowed this special gathering to be held for the commemoration of the anniversary of the KADIWA and Binhi. We also thank our beloved Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo and the Christian Family Organizations Coordinator, Brother Angelo Eraño Manalo, because they approved this to strengthen and guide the young members,” Brother Olipas said.

As the province of Pangasinan was under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions when the activity was held, the attendees strictly observed the health and safety protocols in place. — With reports from INC News Section
