Two days before the school year began in the Philippines, the Ecclesiastical District of San Carlos City, Pangasinan convened members of the Christian Brotherhood International (CBI) or brethren-students from various local congregations on August 20, 2022 through a special gathering. With them in the said gathering were their parents.
Brother Eduardo Olipas, district supervising minister, underscored to the students that true servants do not compromise their faith in and worship of God in the face of hardships in life. Rather, they remain active in their services to Him and in fulfilling His commandments. He led the gathering from the house of worship of the Local Congregation of San Carlos City, the host site.
His preaching was livestreamed to the following houses of worship where other students were gathered: Bayambang, Bogtong, Bueno, Canan, Malacañang, Sta. Barbara, and Urbiztondo.
Krizzia de Castro from San Carlos City said that she would “not neglect [her] Church duties even while [she is] in school.”
“As a parent, gatherings like this are timely and a big help to me, as I strive to provide good education to my child despite being poor,” said Pablo Roldan from Sta. Barbara. His daughter, Pia Sabrina, affirmed, “I will strive to give my best in studying. But, most importantly, I will strive in obeying all of God’s commandments.” — With reports from INC News Section
