On June 25, 2022, three months shy of its fourth anniversary, the brethren in San Jose, Costa Rica Group Worship Service in the Ecclesiastical District of Latin America held the inaugural worship service of the Children’s Worship Service (CWS).

The CWS is the gathering for worship of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members’ children aged four to 11 wherein they are taught Bible-based lessons in a question-and-answer manner.

The first of such holy gathering in the San Jose GWS took place at a rented venue in Quepos, Costa Rica. It was officiated by Brother Paul Martinez Jr., the district secretary, with the assistance of Ordnael Estrera, CWS teacher.

“The Children’s Worship Service is very important for the children to grow in faith and love as members of the true Church,” said Ordnael Estrera.

As a mother, Cristine, Ordnael’s wife, appreciated the value of the CWS in “Instilling the true faith to our children [which] is crucial.” She explained: “They will be the next generation of the Church. We look forward to seeing them ever-faithful servants of God.”

Alphonse Galarosa, also a parent, said his conviction, “I promise to guide my child in serving God. I will support her in all the activities in the CWS.”

After the inaugural worship service, the CWS would now be held at the GWS’s place of worship, located at Casa Estrera CR, San Rafael de Escazú, San Jose, Costa Rica. — With reports from INC News Section
