Primarily to bring back to the Lord God all the glory for His help and guidance, two specialized organizations in two provinces in Central Luzon, Philippines conducted separate special gatherings in commemoration of their founding anniversaries.

The Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) has reached its 34th year and its members from the Ecclesiastical District of San Jose City, Nueva Ecija held the said gathering on February 2, 2023.

On the other hand, SCAN and Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society in the Ecclesiastical District of Tarlac City, Tarlac jointly held the special gathering on February 4, 2023. The CMDPS members observed the fourth anniversary of their association.

In the house of worship of the Local Congregation of San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, Brother Jomar Dueñas, the district supervising minister, delivered a Bible-based lesson, reminding the SCAN members to maintain a great sense of responsibility in looking after the welfare of their fellow brethren not only to the best of their abilities but, most especially, in accordance with God’s will.

Afterwards, Brother Daniel Lacson, minister of the gospel, administered the oath-taking of new officers of both organizations.

“This gathering is yet another spiritual blessing for me,” said Froila Marie Bunao, CMDPS officer from the Local Congregation of Abar. “It’s a privilege for us in the CMDPS to be of help to our fellow Church members, even including nonmembers.”

On behalf of the district’s SCAN, Brother Joe Malawit, its president, said, “As we’re taught, we will devote ourselves in our sworn duties, serving as role models by being active, and ensuring the safety during every activity conducted within our district.”

Meanwhile, in Tarlac City, the special gathering held in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Aguso, was officiated by Brother Dario Medrana, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer.

Established on February 6, 1989 by the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the SCAN is an amateur radio communications group reliable in quickly coming to aid during times of calamities and the like emergencies. — With assistance from Mark Andro T. Milan
