“We continue to motivate the brethren in the district to all the more show their active participation in all Church activities launched by the Church Administration, including that which can be of help to our fellowmen in times of emergencies,” said Brother Ranier Sabino, district supervising minister of Bulacan North.
Indeed, to hone their life-saving skills, Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Bulacan North in the Philippines, attended a basic first-aid seminar on July 10, 2021.
SCAN members from various local congregations in the district gathered at the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office compound in the municipality of San Miguel, Bulacan to participate in the activity.
“The aim of this kind of seminar is to give knowledge and enhance the skills of SCAN members in the district about the basic first aid to be used in times of emergencies,” said Brother Michael Nera, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, of Bulacan North.
“The brethren may find many benefits and application from the seminar we conducted. They can use what they learned not only in rescuing and helping people from their community but as well as their family, in times of emergencies,” said Rennan Clifford Herrera, SCAN district president.
“We have learned so much in the seminar like giving first aid, conducting rescue, correct use of bandage, lifting of patients, and CPR [Cardiopulmonary resuscitation],” said Cecille Dela Cruz, SCAN member. ― With reports from INC News Section
