The Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) in the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia conducted an online fire prevention and safety seminar on November 21, 2021.

Through webinar, SCAN members across the district had their knowledge regarding fire prevention and fire safety refreshed and further broadened.

An instructor in the Philippines and American Red Cross Victor Sanchez, served as the resource speaker. He shared with his fellow members information about the nature and behavior of fire, classes of fire, parts and use of fire extinguishers, fire emergency procedure, personal protective equipment, among others. He also shared safety tips to avoid accidents.

“Fire can damage properties and it may also result in the loss of lives. Through this activity, the brethren can know how to prepare, how to perform drills, and prioritize actions during emergencies including how to put out the fire before it becomes uncontrollable,” said Sanchez who is also a registered nurse.

Brother John Romanillos, the district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, supervised the activity. ― With reports from INC News Section
