Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia finished a three-day Emergency First Responder (EFR) course which was held on May 30, June 6, and 13, and attended the virtual graduation ceremony on June 20, 2021.
SCAN members who passed the evaluation after the course attended the online ceremony, together with their families, through videoconferencing.
Ace Gulapa, SCAN district president, said “The three-day EFR training that we have attended was very informative. I personally learned a lot about the basic first aid, basic anatomy and physiology of our body, basic life support, and most especially the necessary knowledge in giving CPR. As a SCAN officer, I should be equipped with this knowledge because saving lives is the main priority of every SCAN member.”
Brother Ronaldo Lising, district supervising minister, led the online ceremony with Brother John Romanillos, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer.
The program concluded with a Bible-based lecture by Brother Gerry Purificacion, SCAN spiritual adviser. Through the lesson, he encouraged the SCAN members to perform their duty diligently and devotedly.
The newly minted EFR graduates expressed their collective conviction that when circumstances call upon them to apply the skills they have learned, they will do so. ― With reports from INC News Section
