Members of the Society of Communicators and Networkers, International (SCAN) from the Ecclesiastical District of Carcar City, Cebu attended a webinar on basic traffic signals on November 15, 2020.
SCAN members help maintain safety and orderliness during Church activities, especially in worship services. Knowledge in basic traffic signals is essential for SCAN members to perform their tasks, one of which is facilitating orderly vehicular traffic in and around Church premises during Church gatherings.
Police Executive Master Sergeant (PEMS) Jemelon D. Cotmaya, the City Executive Senior Police Officer (CESPO) of Toledo City, facilitated the online seminar. “This activity aims to nurture the ability and skills of our fellow SCAN members about basic traffic signals,” said the police officer, who is a Church member from the Local Congregation of Toledo. “This would serve as a guide to them especially in performing their duties.” Besides helping out during Church gatherings, SCAN members also lend a hand even to communities during emergencies and calamities, which may also include providing assistance in ensuring road safety.
The district supervising minister, Brother Sergio Vista, supervised the activity. He advised them saying, “Remember all the do’s and don’ts in the seminar for your safety and of the brethren in the Church.” ― With reports from INC News Section
