Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) members from various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia participated in an online dish gardening workshop on February 28, 2021.

Brethren connected through videoconferencing to watch the live presentation of the SCAN gulayan sa bakuran (backyard gardening) activity that aims to help the participants to save money by growing vegetables at home instead of buying them from the market. Planting is also proven to help people be relieved from stress and anxiety.

Mary Ann Corpuz, a SCAN member, gave tips and ideas on how to grow edible plants from the comfort of everyone’s home.

“We enjoyed the backyard gardening especially during this time of pandemic. It is essential that we make the best use of our resources at home,” said Eric Crisostomo, SCAN officer.

The brethren promised to be more active in participating in all Church activities launched by the Church Administration. ― With reports from INC News Section
