The commonly asked question, “Why should I get Covid-19 vaccine?” was answered in a seminar for KADIWA members from the Local Congregation of Clisoc Field, Ecclesiastical District of Nueva Vizcaya in the Philippines on February 12, 2022. Aileen Mae De Guzman, a registered nurse, served as the resource speaker. The seminar was held at the house of worship of the said congregation.
“Covid-19 vaccine is important for all our brethren because this provides a heightened level of protection against the Coronavirus,” De Guzman said. In her lecture, she also shared with the attendees the Three Cs that would help them improve their experience in healthcare—communication, collaboration, and caring.
She also reminded the KADIWA members about “avoiding crowded places and remember to observe social distancing.” She highlighted to them the importance of proper and regular hand washing. Coupled with getting the vaccine, these would lessen the chances of one contracting the virus.
A medical student from the congregation, Roan Ciello Rivera said, “Because of the seminar, I understand the importance and benefits of being fully vaccinated to be secured and protected against the Covid-19 virus.”
“The activity aims to remind the brethren to be aware of the continuous spread of Covid-19 virus. The Church Administration is reminding all of us to take care of ourselves to be able to use our life in serving the Almighty God,” Brother Milbert Abrias Jr., the ministerial worker who supervised the activity, said. — With reports from INC News Section
