“This online activity increased our health awareness, and motivated us to take good care of our own health so we can continue serving God,” Romar Bautista, deacon from the Local Congregation of Wellington, Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand, said of the health and wellness seminar he virtually attended on January 15, 2022.

The said webinar was spearheaded by the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) officers.

Sam Pineda, a registered nurse, served as the resource speaker. He led his fellow Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the said congregation in exploring various health and wellness topics, which increased their awareness on how to have and maintain a healthy lifestyle, prevent illness, and thrive in staying healthy amid the pandemic. He also shared with the brethren first-aid tips for common injuries.

“We were taught of the importance of the spiritual and physical needs in order to remain healthy. We were equipped of the key knowledge on how to look after one’s self, and also how to conduct first aid in case of emergencies,” said Ryan Orbe, head deacon.

The CMDPS officers from Wellington pledged that they will remain unceasing in their efforts of conducting Christian family activities that nurture their fellow brethren’s physical, emotional and spiritual well-being as they sojourn in this troublous world. — With reports from INC News Section
