The members of the Ecclesiastical District of Bohol’s multimedia team underwent a seminar to gain needed upgrade in performing their duties.

Held on May 31, 2022 at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Tagbilaran City, the Multimedia Enhancement Seminar they attended also aimed to equip them with new skills, technological and otherwise.

In his opening remarks, Brother Joel Arias, district Christian Family Organizations overseer, highlighted the importance of being an enthusiastic and energetic district multimedia officer.

District multimedia adviser Brother Franz Daria, together with Marilou Acuzar, and Trishia Cervantes, pioneering officers of the district multimedia team, served as resource speakers. They not only refreshed the attendees’ knowledge about basic news writing and photography, but also facilitated the attendees’ brainstorming session regarding the best approaches to reporting Church activities.

“One of challenges is on how to package Church news to make it more appealing to viewers,” said Marilou Acuzar. “So, I highlighted to them the essentials of making attention-grabbing news reports. One is the importance of being able to gather the most important details. Put differently, what should and shouldn’t be included.”

Encouraged to enhance her skills, Cendirella Bautista, said, “I will strive even more to improve on my news writing skills.” — With reports from INC News Section
