Sign language awareness raised in Cagayan de Oro City

To be able to care for deaf brethren, the Ecclesiastical District of Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental, Philippines held Caring for the Deaf: Sign Language Seminar on May 29, 2021.

District Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) officers led the activity that was conducted through videoconferencing.

Brother Earl Gem Lacson, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, taught the attendees the importance of caring and showing concern for Church members from all walks of life, including the deaf. He also encouraged them to study sign language to be more equipped to help the deaf brethren.

Brother Jonell Macaron, CSD coordinator, explained the current and future activities of CSD in the district.
