Brethren from Silverdale Group Worship Service (GWS), Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand commemorated their first anniversary through month-long activities in September 2020.

An evangelical mission started the celebration, followed by an appreciation day for frontliners, and a culmination activity for the actual anniversary celebration on September 30, 2020.

Brother Eraño Roxas, resident minister, led the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers in preparing the program and in holding the event.

Virtual choral presentation of each group highlighted the occasion. Performers sang Iglesia Ni Cristo original music as they rendered praises and thanks to God for a year of blessings to their GWS.

Finance officers recorded a video of a virtual “Pass-the-food,” which showed that they can celebrate together although separated by distance.

Part of the program was the video presentation of the GWS’ history and the brethren’s participation in various activities launched by the Church Administration.

Also, video-recorded anniversary greetings of ministers from Australia East and other parts of the world were shown and inspired everyone in attendance.

After the presentations, Brother Dennis Dahunan, district supervising minister, delivered a short message encouraging everyone to remain steadfast in their faith.

The brethren recognized God’s blessings to them and, expressing their collective sentiment, Timoteo Vivas Jr., head deacon, said: “We wholeheartedly thank our Lord God for blessing our GWS with a year of successes and also for allowing us to celebrate the first anniversary this month. We also thank our beloved Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for always looking after our spiritual welfare in this part of the world. We promise we will always unite with the aim and spirit of the Church Administration and remain fulfilling our duties to God.” — With reports from INC News Section
