“I really enjoyed this activity because not only did it teach us something new but through this we also met new KADIWA members,” Nicole Marie Jimenez, KADIWA officer from the Local Congregation of Barcelona, said of the sushi-making workshop. It was held at the function hall of their congregation’s place of worship on May 14, 2023.

She and fellow KADIWA members were taught how to prepare sushi by Carol Czerny Licud, KADIWA congregation president, who led the workshop and explained the various techniques in preparing the exotic dish.

“It’s an activity which we enjoyed and learned from at the same time,” Carol said. “And the brotherhood among us has been further strengthened.”

The KADIWA members then grouped themselves, to apply what they learned during the workshop. “The activity was very entertaining as we learned a new cuisine which we right away tried making,” expressed Remelyn Bilgera, KADIWA officer.
