The finals of the Songs of Faith, Love, and Hope (SOFLAH) Children’s Worship Service (CWS) edition evidently brought out the best in the finalists from the neighboring ecclesiastical districts of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental and Negros del Norte on April 7 and 9, 2023, respectively.

In the Ecclesiastical District of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, the contestants and audience gathered at the function hall of Hans Guest House along Tan Lorenzo Street, Kabankalan, Negros Occidental. During the solo, trio, and quartet performances, the contenders gave their best renditions of their chosen INC Original Music.

The quartet from the Local Congregation of Hinigaran (Raniel Gayona, Nieza Mae Gayona, Shaniel Dane Neolar, and Andre Gayona) emerged as champion. Moises Solana from the Local Congregation of Camp Clark was declared first runner up; the quartet from the Local Congregation of Naga (Mary Rose Sayabo, Razel Mae Sablaon, Meryll Grace Hiceta, and Earleen Grace Coruña) as second runner up.

“We’re happy to be in this activity. We’re so thankful for being champion,” said Andre on behalf of his fellow quartet members.

In the Ecclesiastical District of Negros del Norte, the same competition was held at the function hall of the district office along New Era Street, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

Jereme Javino, from the Local Congregation of San Carlos City, landed first place. Xavier Addison Acuyan, from the Local Congregation of Guihulngan, and Feljean Gubaton, from the Local Congregation of Canlaon City, were second and third placers, respectively.

With these CWS activities aimed at “promoting among young members the INC Original Music and thus bring glory to God,” Brother Clark Paraguas, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, said, “We will continue to guide the children under our care for them to become steadfast in the faith as they grow, and ever actively serving Him.” — With reports from Credenda Balceda and Arlene Butalid of INC News Section
