To help the Children’s Worship Service (CWS)  members develop new skills and prepare the participants for the upcoming Literary and Visual Arts competitive activities, the CWS district officers from the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia organized a songwriting workshop on June 19, 2021.

Kids from various local congregations in the district joined the activity through videoconferencing.

Rachelle Tasis, a Buklod officer who has experience in songwriting for different activities in the Church like INCVision and others, taught the participants the various steps to write and compose songs.

Rachelle introduced an activity and asked the young brethren to write the first stanza of the song that’s on their mind no matter what it was about—whether food, a cartoon character, favorite subject in school, or their family. They were then instructed to sing the lines in the tune of the “Happy Birthday” song.

Children then shared their compositions online for other participants to hear.

Through the activity, the young brethren had fun in expressing their creativity while actively participating in the activities launched by the Church Administration. ― With reports from INC News Section
