The continuing expansion of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in Western Cape, South Africa led to the request of the Ecclesiastical District of Southern Africa to establish the Paarl Group Worship Service (GWS). With God’s help, their request was approved by the Church Administration and on August 26, 2022, the inaugural worship service of the new GWS was held. Prior to this development, brethren from Paarl belonged to the Local Congregation of Cape Town, South Africa.

Brother Sheridohn Santos, district supervising minister, officiated at the said gathering which was held at Fairyland Community Hall, Harmony Street, Fairyland, Groenheuwel, Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa. Subsequent worship services of the GWS will also be held there. During the inaugural worship, the brethren were joined by guests, 27 of whom have already decided to undergo Bible studies.

In the homily, Brother Santos taught from the Bible that the true servants of God must always make sure that God is with them throughout their lives. This can be done, he explained, by obeying all of God’s commandments. These, he reminded them, include always attending the worship services as well as holding on to that firm decision to live in holiness amid this permissive world.

Now that the brethren residing in the town of Paarl can hold services to God nearer their homes, they look forward to invite more and more of their townmates into the Church Of Christ. — With reports from INC News Section
