On October 30, 2022, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Southern Ontario, Canada, attended a special gathering held in commemoration of the 49th anniversary of the KADIWA and Binhi, and the ninth anniversary of the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD).

Four venues across the district were set up for the said gathering, namely, the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Mississauga West, which served as the host site; and the places of worship of the local congregations of Niagara Falls, Windsor, and London GWS, which connected via videoconferencing. Brethren gathered in the venue nearest them.

In his preaching, Brother Jay Acuna, assistant district supervising minister, emphasized to the attendees the relevance of upholding God’s teachings, one of which is respecting and obeying their parents, in securing for themselves a bright future.

“In this gathering, we were taught, among others, how to set our priorities in order. We were reminded to make God our priority above and over anything else,” said Mia Querijero, Binhi district president.

“It’s very important to uphold Church membership by following God’s commandments. It has benefits not only in this life but also in the life to come,” said Cody Villareal, KADIWA district president. As his course of action, he further said: “I will encourage my fellow brethren to continue attending our many activities. These are great opportunities to meet others, make new friends, and thus, have a nice bonding time.”

“The youth were reminded to always love, respect, and obey their parents because they [the parents] are also God’s instruments in training the youth to grow up as faithful and obedient members of the Church Of Christ,” said Brother Ramil Macaspac II, district CFO overseer.

After receiving God’s words, the brethren watched video presentations, which included a rundown of upcoming activities leading to the golden anniversary of their respective Christian Family Organizations (CFO) next year. — With reports from INC News Section
