Recognizing the important role that the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers play in the edification of Church Of Christ members, a special gathering was held for them in the Ecclesiastical District of Palawan South in the Philippines on May 1, 2021.
To properly observe existing health protocols, the gathering was held simultaneously in four local congregations.
The CFO officers gathered in the houses of worship of the local congregations of Narra, Panitian, Brooke’s Point and Sofronio Española, where Brothers Allan Ladera, district supervising minister; Brother Manuel Malanog Jr., district CFO overseer; Brother Israel Flores, assistant district supervising minister; and Brother Ronnie Repas, district chronicler, officiated, respectively.
A biblical lesson about the importance of fulfilling Church duties were taught to the attendees so that their fervor in performing their obligations would remain aflame.
“The CFO officers were reminded of their duties—to love and show concern to the brethren in the CFO organization where they belong, encouraging them to continue uniting with the Church Administration in all activities for them to be strengthened in the faith and love of brotherhood—all for the glory of our Lord God,” Brother Ladera said.
“Special gatherings, such as this, are important for us, Church officers, because during these occasions we are taught the words of our Lord God and we are reminded to devote ourselves in fulfilling our duties,” Eline Jeen Alforja, a Children’s Worship Service (CWS) officer, said.
“We promise to the Church Administration that we will submit to them and continue uniting with them in all the activities in the Church,” Brother Ladera added. — With reports from INC News Section
