“Through prayer, you can ask God for anything, because He is always there not only to listen but can give and do anything. If it is His will, He will surely do it,” said Ken Conocido, a Binhi member from Chicago Congregation.

He was one of those who attended the special gathering held by the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Midwest on October 24, 2021, in commemoration of the 48th founding anniversary of the KADIWA and Binhi organizations. Officiated by the district supervising minister, Brother Erman Bendicio, the gathering reminded the attendees of the value of prayer in the life of God’s servants.

Brother Bendicio taught the youth members a Bible-based lesson to remind them to be steadfast in the faith and always prioritize obedience to all of God’s commands at all times. He officiated the gathering at the house of worship in the Local Congregation of Chicago, Illinois. It was livestreamed to various remote sites throughout the district.

After the gathering, Aileen Joy Tiangco, a KADIWA member from Chicago Congregation, said, “It was nice to see familiar faces again. And I, once again, felt the love of the brotherhood.” She added that as Church Of Christ members, youth like her are “the ones who actually can call on God in times of needs and receive what we asked for.”

“We are thankful to the Church Administration for this very important activity. We promise to be active in the faith and participate in all Church activities,” said Aileen Joy. ― With reports from INC News Section
