The special gathering of Buklod members from the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe on December 12, 2021, during which they were taught God’s words, bolstered the faith of the married members, according to the attendees.

Though situated in different countries in Scandinavia, the married couples were able to listen real-time by means of videoconferencing to the preaching of Brother Romeo Marquez who, from the Local Congregation of Oslo, Norway’s house of worship led the gathering, which was held in commemoration of the Buklod’s 59th anniversary. The district supervising minister reminded his fellow Buklod members of their duties and responsibilities as husbands and wives, according to the Bible. He exhorted them to pay attention to how they raise their children as God expects them to lead their children in living righteously, as befits His servants.

Lars Mapoy, the Buklod district president, said, “As Church Of Christ members, we are and will remain committed to our Almighty God. And as Buklod members, we understand that it is a great responsibility to lead our family, especially our children, in their active services to God and bring them up with Christian values.”

“As we heard that there will be a Buklod Special Gathering in our District, we were really excited and we prepared ourselves because we know that we will receive important lessons,” said Adamson Lopez, from the Local Congregation of Vienna West.

His wife, Melanie, added, “We are grateful to attend this kind of event because we heard the teachings of our Almighty God in having a good relationship with every family member and to be respectful to one another in our household.”

Cognizant of the significance of what he was taught in the special gathering, Sebastien Durieux, from the Local Congregation of Stockholm, Sweden promised that he, together with his wife Jonalyn, will “raise our children in the proper way to increase their faith.” ― With reports from INC News Section
