“As choir members in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), they lead the brethren in singing hymns of praises to God during worship services and other gatherings. So, they are expected to continue living in holiness and obey the commandments of the Lord,” said Brother Celestino Bacsafra, district supervising minister, in an interview after leading the special gathering of choir members in the Ecclesiastical District of Macau.

Held on May 21, 2023 at the place of worship of the Local Congregation of Macau, Brother Bacsafra pointed out during the study of God’s words the importance of the choir members’ roles in every sacred gathering conducted in the Church Of Christ. He taught them to be always prayerful as they face troubles in life and reminded them of the promised salvation when they victoriously complete the race God has set before them.

The choir members were very grateful for such momentous occasion that gave them inspiration to continue fulfilling the duty they have sworn in before God. Among them was Cristina Cabanding from the Local Congregation of Barra.

She expressed, “It was a great blessing for me because my faith was edified through the words of God taught to us. With His help, I firmly believe that I can overcome any problems for as long as I fully obey Him and live a righteous way of life.”

The district choir director, Jonathan dela Cruz, from the Macau Congregation, extended his thanks to the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for “allowing us choir members in the district to gather once again. This truly gave us spiritual motivation not only in our services of God but also in performing our duties in the choir.” — With reports from Cris Evert Oasan of INC News Sections
