“We miss performing our duties. And it weighs heavily on us that we cannot yet don our choir robes and perform in the house of worship. And so, the special gathering for choir members inspired and empowered us. We were reminded that, with God’s grace and mercy, soon we will be able to fulfill our duties in our respective houses of worship,” said Cleo Ariola, a choir member from Israel.

On January 22, 2022, a special gathering was held for choir members in the District of the Mediterranean. Facilitated online, brethren from countries implementing strict rules on gatherings due to the threat of Covid-19 attended the gathering virtually.

Through the holy gathering led by Brother Ramil Regino, the district supervising minister, the choir members from various local congregations in Israel, Greece, Malta, and Cyprus were reminded of how important to God their duty is. He exhorted them in his homily to continue pleading to God that they be kept safe so that they can perform their duties when worship services are once again done in the house of worship.

“We continue to hold devotional prayers and, in each worship service presently done from our homes through videoconferencing, we pour our hearts out in our prayers pleading to God that may He allow us to hold worship services once again in our houses of worship,” Ariola expressed.

“We would like to express our sincere thanks to our dearest Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for approving the choir special gathering [in our district]. The choir members promise to God that they will continue to uphold their sacred obligation and will unite always with the Church Administration in all the holy endeavors,” Brother Regino added. — With reports from INC News Section
