On January 14, 2022, choir members from the Ecclesiastical District of Iloilo North were edified in the faith as they attended a special gathering convened for them.
Three sites were designated for the said special gathering. Brother Abner Flores, the district supervising minister, officiated the special gathering in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Sara. Meanwhile, Brothers Ray Policarpio, the assistant district supervising minister, led the gathering in Ajuy, and Benjamin Grande, the one in Estancia.
Through a Bible-based lesson, they reiterated to the choir members the importance of their duty to God, that of leading the congregation in singing hymns of praises to the Lord God and the Lord Jesus Christ, primarily during worship services. Pointing out how faithful God is, the officiating ministers reminded the choir members to have the confidence in facing all the challenges in life because God promised the He will be there for His faithful servants.
“I give importance to my Church duty because performing it provides me with strength that I need, especially during times of trial. As a Church officer, whenever I fulfill my duty I feel that my burdens are lifted off my shoulders. It is where I draw the strength to overcome anything that happens in my life,” Caren Tulio, a choir member from Sara Local Congregation, enthused.
“In our special gathering, our hope was strengthened,” said Jaypee Pachica, a choir member from the Local Congregation of Estancia. He went on to say that even “if we face problems in life, we can succeed through God’s help. And no matter what, with the Church Administration’s guidance we can continue fulfilling our duty to God.” — With reports from INC News Section
