Two local congregations from two different districts in Canada conducted “Welcome, My Brethren” activities on May 21 and 27, 2022, to give a chance for the newly baptized members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) to spend time and socialize with fellow brethren. These were Spruce Meadows, in the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary; and Midtown Toronto, Ontario, in the Ecclesiastical District of Greater Toronto, respectively.

The new members, as well as the doctrinal instructees, together with other brethren from the Local Congregation of Spruce Meadows, gathered at the Ghost Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area—commonly called Ghost Lake—west of the city of Calgary, for the event.

With many outdoor activities available to visitors to Ghost Lake, brethren not only enjoyed the prepared fun games but also had the chance to go fishing and boating. The Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers prepared and implemented guidelines to ensure their safety.

Meanwhile, Church members from Midtown Ontario gathered at the function hall of their house of worship for their “Welcome, My Brethren” event.

Guests, doctrinal instructees, and candidates for baptism joined the newly baptized members in several fun games prepared by the Church officers. Likewise, they were treated to performances of Iglesia Ni Cristo original music by select brethren. — With reports from INC News Section
