Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the local congregations and extensions of the Ecclesiastical District of Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija in the Philippines gathered on January 15, 2022 at the gymnasium of the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija to unite in a district-wide blood donation activity.

Brother Henry A. Capuno, district supervising minister, spearheaded the activity. Ministers and ministerial workers in the district on-site not only made sure that health and safety protocols were observed throughout the activity but themselves led the brethren screened as blood donors.

In collaboration with the staff of Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center, members of the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) facilitated the screening of potential donors.

“Activities like this are timely as there are other emergency cases that need equal immediate attention as Covid-19 cases require,” remarked second-time donor Jess Christopher Saclolo, a choir member and Buklod district officer. “Donating blood not only helps anyone, Iglesia Ni Cristo members or not, but also lessens the already heavy burden, that’s getting worse by the minute, being faced everyday by medical frontliners.” — With reports from INC News Section
